Our Philosophy

Data by itself isn’t enough. We start from the decision you actually need to make, then design the analysis to answer it. We show what interventions are likely to work, how to track whether they did, and how to communicate the result without overclaiming.

We’re based in Peckham. The name is partly affection for south London, partly a nod to the kind of straightforward, unglamorous scientific work the area deserves. That Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah lived in the same part of the city is a coincidence that became a reminder.

Who We Are

Dr Ruaraidh Dobson is an exposure scientist with a decade of work on air quality. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles (h-index 17) and worked on air pollution research internationally. Before SLS he led data and software projects at Trilateral Research, then served as Head of Data at the Clean Air Fund, overseeing projects that used data to drive policy change in cities worldwide.
